"We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind is one of the most potent forces for change that I know."

Frequently Asked Questions

01.

I've only discovered recently that I've experienced trauma in my life. How can you help me?

We start by safely understanding the impact to your life, this discovery has on you. Together we can begin to explore the traumatic symptoms you may be experiencing. The next is to understand why these symptoms occur. We then work through healing these symptoms in accordance with the goals & outcomes you desire. Above all, I want you to know that you're not alone & you don't have to go through this by yourself.

03.

Why should I work with you over somebody else?

Support for trauma is varied with a lot of different professionals out there offering different things. It's important to do your research & look around as you're sharing something highly personal of yours with someone else. Make sure the support you receive is the support you deserve.

With me, first & foremost I care about your well-being, & prioritise that before anything else. I tailor my support to meet you exactly where you are & what you want. I lead with compassion & empathy towards your life story & not the success of my own.

Most of all, my support works & I believe in my approach, having developed it from my many years supporting trauma as a licensed counsellor.

02.

I feel stuck & want to move forward. How can you help me?

Feeling stuck is a common symptom of relational trauma. The body & mind actually develops that stuck feeling as a safety mechanism to protect you from further trauma. The problem is that now there is a part of you wanting to move on.  You're ready to create your own sense of safety that's in keeping with the world you're now a part of. We'll create that safety & apply it to your world.

04.

What is the difference between you as a coach & you as a therapist?

Therapists are suited to working with those with a mental health diagnosis. They lead on care plans & provide treatment specific to any mental health issue you may have. A therapist is also very important when in crisis & in need of immediate restoration.

As a coach, I position myself alongside you as you continue to live your life. I don't provide therapy but I do educate & empathise with you on the symptoms associated with relational trauma that you're going through.

I identify blocks, empower you in low moments & provide perspective as to the impact trauma has on your life. We go at the pace that fits right for you.
